The client

The American Express is a PGA TOUR pro-am played across PGA West and La Quinta Country Club in California, pairing a top-tier professional field with an annual concert series. Founded in 1960 as the Palm Springs Golf Classic and long run as the Bob Hope Desert Classic, it built its name on a celebrity pro-am that drew Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and presidents from Eisenhower to Ford. American Express took title sponsorship in 2020 and launched the concert series the same year.

The challenge

A long-running client that started with credentialing alone needed badges pre-built before show week. Then it wanted RFID access layered on as the scope grew.

Our approach

We ran Manifest credentialing for ~4,400 people in 2024, pre-printing badges in two phases at our New Orleans office on up to five ZC10L printers. Subsequent years added wrstSCN access control (up to 18 NTR-6 portals and handheld scanners) with AXS ticketing integrated through wrstCORE.

The results

WRSTBND credentialed ~11,000 attendees in 2026 and issued 11,000+ RFID wristbands in 2025, growing a credential-only engagement into a combined access-and-credentialing operation.
